This collage represents my identity flip from being a chef to becoming a designer.
I wanted to incorporate a self-portrait piece to understand better who I was and who I am now. Cooking taught me discipline and organization. I cut my face into small pieces, being “sauteed,” a critical cooking method that transforms the ingredient into a finished product. I constantly use my background as a chef to think about significant social problems like food shortages worldwide and use my techniques to create new innovative materials
